What no one wanted to bring up on the Grammys: the absence of Bieber Timberlake, who had the biggest selling albums involving 2017. JT got no appreciate in Album, Report, or Song of year categories. He seemed to be therefore absent in the proceedings. He does win a couple of minimal awards, but it appeared to be all very weird. Daft Punk picked up 5 major prizes even though the French duo was never seen and perhaps wasn’t there. Adult men wearing white robotic costumes stood looking for them. Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers were there, however, together with accepted their honors.
Katy Perry didn’t sing “Shout,” which also made zero sense. Pink performed two songs originating from a 2017 album that should not have been eligible. Get figure. Robin Thicke sounded awful with a new version of the band Chicago.
Some tidbits: Paul, Ringo, Yoko, Sean Lennon, Olivia Harrison, et al — the Beatles machine – sat up front, enjoyed the whole show, didn’testosterone disappear backstage or perhaps hang out in the Governor’utes Room. They really made the show plus supported it. Many of the presenters and Movie non music variations notably Julia Roberts have just the opposite. Taylor Swift, also in front, got up and danced to several numbers.
There ended up being way too much heavy metal, and not enough landmark occasions. Classical pianist Lang Lang has been wasted with Metallica.
